Optovue Solix OCT
The Future of OCT is FullRange
SOLIX is a new class of OCT built upon Optovue’s 27 years of experience in OCT technology advancement. SOLIX takes OCT beyond the status quo with new capabilities, new visualisations and new applications that empower practitioners to identify and manage numerous pathologies from the front of the eye to the back.
Introducing SOLIX
From Optovue, the company that pioneered OCTA and the acknowledged leader in OCT innovation, SOLIX delivers multiple tools for a new generation of disease management that improves throughput and enables superior patient care. SOLIX features ultra-high-speed scanning for a FullRange field of view that is wide and deep, yet does not sacrifice image clarity and resolution.
Multimodal imaging
SOLIX delivers multiple tools for a new generation of disease management that improves throughput and enables superior patient care:
- Anterior and posterior OCT,
- OCT angiography,
- Fundus photography,
- Evaluation of the meibomian glands of the upper and lower lids,
- Optovue’s exclusive wellness protocols.
FullRange anterior segment
SOLIX FullRange anterior imaging provides stunning views of the entire anterior chamber, from the front surface of the cornea to the anterior surface of the lens. A comprehensive anterior segment package expands the clinical utility of the system to address a broad range of patients.
Images of the entire anterior chamber can be captured with the FullRange 18 x 6.25mm scan and ocular structures can be measured with the caliper tools.
Corneal & epithelial mapping
Epithelial, stromal and total corneal thickness can be quantified with the 10mm Corneal Layer Map, which features 16 meridians to fully cover the LRS transition zone. The Highlight Tool shows any subtle changes in thickness and the Change Analysis report measures changes in thickness between visits.
Epithelial, stromal and total corneal thickness can be measured to aid in disease diagnosis. Pachymetric measurements may be compared to the Coollabs Keratoconus Risk Scoring System to further enhance diagnostic accuracy.
External IR imaging
SOLIX’s infrared capabilities allows you to evaluate Meibomian gland structure of the upper and lower lids, which means new information can be added to the diagnosis and management of dry eye patients, without the need for a dedicated imaging system.
FullRange retina
SOLIX delivers pristine images of retinal structures with the 16mm x 6.25mm FullRange retina scan that enables confident diagnosis and management of retinal pathologies, even in highly myopic patients. Diagnostic capabilities can be enahanced further with an ultra-fast, deep and wide line scan.
FullRange retina – dual montage
A single scan protocol with MCT generates all necessary images and data for comprehensive retinal analysis, which optimises efficiency and quickly provides the clinical data your practice demands. Two 9 x 9mm scans can be combined for a seamless view of the posterior pole.
Fundus photography
The fundus photography application enables the capture of a 45-degree fundus image, as well as the ability to view retinal photos in colour, greyscale and inverse modes, with a range of tools, including a cup-to-disc ratio measuring tool.
Glaucoma
The SOLIX glaucoma package delivers in-depth analysis of the optic nerve head structure and vasculature. Optovue-exclusive data points bring additional insights that aid in clinical decision making.
Glaucoma – trend analysis
ONH + GCC Trend Analysis Report
Track change and estimate the rate of change in both GCC and RNFL thickness with unparalleled reproducibility to easily assess how quickly a patient’s disease is progressing.
AngioDisc Trend Analysis Report
Measure the vessel density of the RPCs, assess visit-to-visit change and estimate rate of change in glaucoma patients and suspects. Vessel density analysis complements RNFL and GCC analysis and aids in the management of advanced glaucoma – especially in cases where neural structural measurements have reached the measurement floor.
Angiovue OCTA
AngioVue OCTA is now available on the SOLIX for non-invasive 3D visualisation and quantification of retinal vasculature. SOLIX offers a range of scans to suit your needs; AngioVue Retina offers the choice of 3 x 3mm, 6.4 x 6.4mm, 9 x 9mm and 12 x 12mm fovea scans with a range of detailed reports to track change, whilst Angiovue disc offers a detailed 6 x 6mm scan with AngioAnalytics and a trend report.
AngioAnalytics OCTA Metrics
AngioAnalytics enables measurement of retinal vessel density, FAZ, flow area and non-flow areas, as well as retina layer thickness to the 6.4mm Angiovue retina scans. It also enables the measurement of RPC density and RNFL thickness and optic disc measurements for 6mm AngioVue disc scans.
AngioVue new features
Optovue’s exclusive 3D OCTA rendering enables real life visualisation of retinal vasculature and vascular connectivity. Whilst the new AngioVue Quad Montage combines four 9 x 9mm scans for widefield visualisation of the peripheral retina.
Wellness
The SOLIX wellness protocol is a valuable assessment tool that can reveal the need for more extensive imaging and streamline the exam process by quickly confirming normal or aiding in the more efficient diagnosis of pathology. Wellness programmes improve patient involvement and retention for practice differentiation and growth.
OCT Wellness report
OCT wellness generates a single, comprehensive report to promote better overall eye health. The report includes a 12 x 9mm structural scan that optimises metrics on retinal thickness and ganglion cell thickness to the superior/inferior arches. In addition, high-resolution B-scans provide excellent visualisation of retinal structures.
