Wide capturing area of 0.25 x 0.54mm can be viewed utilizing original technologies.<br />
The endothelium can be viewed in a wide area of the cornea. Having the patient fixate their eye on the fixation light enables the unit to capture images at 15 points in total.<br />
The wide range of capturing positions has increased the change of capturing images on patients with partial cornea opacity.<br />
A mark indicating the image capture location can be added to the icon that indicates the selected position of the fixation light.<br />
Central cornea thickness can be measured simultaneously.<br />
The estimated measurement in the ultrasound mode can also be displayed.</p>

<p><strong>Automatic analysis and variety of manual analysis</strong><br />
The main unit alone can perform automatic analysis as it is equipped with built-in automatic analysis software. In the event that the captured image is unclear due to a disorder or the like, automatic analysis may be difficult. Considering such cases, two manual analysis methods have been prepared.</p>

A database function is provided in the main unit.<br />
Two sets of data can be displayed simultaneosly, allowing you to compare observations before and after surgery for the same patient.<br />
Data for approx. 16,000 patients can be stored in the SD card set in the main unit.<br />
Performing reanalysis using a different analysis method is possible by retrieving data that has been stored.</p>

The TMS-5 is indicated for cross sectional imaging of anterior segment components of the human eye such as the anterior and posterior surface of the cornea and the anterior chamber, and also for dimension measurements of these such as curvature, length and area by computed analysis. The Fourier domain method is used as a measuring method thar features high-speed superior tissue penetration. Equipped with a search function that automatically detects a measurable point even when the crystal lens is unclear.</p>

The ring cone method is used to measure the radius of corneal curvature.<br />
In addition to the ø3.0 mm position measured by a general keratometer, ø2.5 mm and ø2.0 mm positions are also simultaneously measured.</p>

Also, up to ø5.5 mm of the cornea is captured and the topography(corneal shape map) is drawn using the ring cone method. The topography is useful for checking eyes after LASIK sugery or corneal irregular astigmatism, or observing the variation<br />
in the corneal shape before and after the surgery. It is also equipment with a function that supports the axis where the toric intraocular lens is to be inserted in the cataract surgery.</p>

The most remarkable clinical applications of the RT-7000 are the “Tear Stability Analysis System (TSAS)” and the “Fourier Analysis map”. The TSAS interprets the changes of the mire rings’ distortion on an eye opened for 6 seconds as changes of its tear layer status and displays color code maps to illustrate the locations of those changes.
